Dr. Tiffini Lucas, MD
Dr. Tiffini Lucas is a board-certified family physician with more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland in 1994 and received her Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Lucas completed her Family Medicine residency at the George Washington University / Holy Cross Residency Program in 2001.
Dr. Lucas is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians. She is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients and providing personalized care that supports lifelong health and wellness.
She has been recognized as a Washingtonian Top Doctor every year from 2008 through 2026. Outside of the office, Dr. Lucas enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and following sports.
FounderKaren Sylvester, PA-C
Physicians AssistantKaren Sylvester PA-C, is a compassionate Physician Assistant dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. She earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University in 2025 and previously received her Master of Science in Physiology from Georgetown University in 2018. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hampton University.
Her clinical training allows her to care for patients across all stages of life. She is passionate about preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and empowering patients through education and open communication. She believes in building trusting relationships with her patients and providing evidence-based, personalized care that supports their long-term health and well-being.
Allison Stern, PA-C
Allison Stern, PA-C, is a dedicated Physician Assistant committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University in 2023 and previously received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Texas in 2020.
Allison is passionate about preventive medicine and helping patients take an active role in their health. She believes in building strong relationships with patients and providing personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs. Her training emphasizes evidence-based medicine, preventive care, and comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages.

Meredith is a dedicated Registered Nurse committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State in 2022 and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University in 2025, building a strong foundation in both human movement and clinical care.
Meredith is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their healthcare experience. Her training emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and promoting overall wellness.

With many years of experience at the practice, she plays an essential role in supporting both patients and the clinical staff, helping ensure the office runs smoothly each day.
Her Bachelor of Science in Psychology provides a strong foundation for understanding patient behavior, communicating effectively, and delivering personalized, compassionate care. She is committed to easing patient anxiety, building trusting relationships, and ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Daryl Lucas, MBA
Office ManagerDaryl Lucas serves as the Office Manager at Contemporary Family Medicine Associates, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice and helping ensure patients receive efficient, high-quality care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State in 2022 and later completed his Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) in 2024.
Daryl focuses on improving practice operations, patient experience, and workflow efficiency while supporting both the clinical and administrative teams. His goal is to help create a smooth, welcoming environment where patients receive excellent care and staff have the resources they need to succeed.
Front Desk/Medical AssistantKrystal Hayes
Krystal Hayes is a valued member of the Contemporary Family Medicine Associates team, serving as both a Front Desk Coordinator and Medical Assistant. She plays an important role in ensuring the office runs smoothly and that patients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive.
Krystal assists with patient check-in, scheduling, and administrative coordination, while also supporting the clinical team with patient care when needed. She is known for her friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and commitment to helping create a positive experience for every patient.
Fran Regis
ReceptionistFran Regis serves as a Receptionist at Contemporary Family Medicine Associates and plays an important role in supporting both patients and the administrative team. She assists with scheduling, patient check-in, and insurance verification, helping ensure that visits run smoothly and efficiently.
